Embark on an unforgettable journey to the French Alps, nestled near the majestic Mont Blanc, where you’ll immerse yourself in an enriching language learning experience. Explore the breathtaking beauty of the mountains while mastering (or beginning to learn) the French language under the guidance of experienced and qualified instructors.
Discover the charm of local villages and engage with the warm-hearted locals who are enthusiastic about sharing their language and culture. Indulge in the delights of authentic French cuisine, participate in vibrant traditional festivals and practice your French conversational skills with native speakers.
Amidst the stunning backdrop of the Alps, you’ll have the chance to participate in invigorating outdoor activities like hiking, skiing and mountain biking, allowing you to absorb the language in an immersive and natural setting. PROGRAM ITINERARY
THIS ITINERARY IS AN APPROXIMATION OF THE OVERALL PROGRAM EXPERIENCE. THE ORDER OF ACTIVITIES ON YOUR TRIP MAY CHANGE.
IF A PARTICULAR SCHEDULED EXPERIENCE IS CANCELED, WE MAY REPLACE IT WITH AN ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITY.
Day 1: Arrival Day
Welcome to Geneva!
Our Teen Travel Network Trip Leaders will meet you in the Geneva airport wearing their TTN t-shirts.
We will spend this first day settling into our accommodation and building connections with fellow travelers. Before we sleep off our jetlag, we will enjoy a local welcome dinner.
Days 2-3: Geneva
Explore the vibrant city of Geneva, the capital of Switzerland and a global humanitarian hub. Immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes around Lake Geneva, stroll through the charming neighborhoods and get to know your fellow travelers. Begin your journey of learning the French language through your first interactions with native French speakers in this culturally rich city.
On the third day, we’ll set off for the Alps, bidding adieu to the bustling city of Geneva and journeying toward the quaint and picturesque mountain town of Morzine, nestled amidst the breathtaking Alpine scenery.
Day 4 : Geneva -> Morzine
It’s time to venture from the vibrant city of Geneva to the enchanting town of Morzine. Get ready to immerse yourself in an immersive French language learning experience amid the picturesque Alpine setting. Enjoy the charming atmosphere of this quaint town as you engage with locals and participate in cultural activities, all while making significant progress in mastering the French language.
Days 5-11: Morzine
Embrace your mornings with invigorating French lessons in the serene town of Morzine, nestled amidst the breathtaking French Alps. Following your language sessions, we’ll strike out to discover more of this remarkable region– where you’ll have the opportunity to embark on invigorating hikes, challenging climbs, thrilling cycling adventure, and insightful interactions with the locals, who will regale you with stories of the area’s abundant natural beauty and its many hidden treasures.
No exploration of this area would be complete without a visit to the captivating town of Chamonix, situated at the foot of the magnificent Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest peak.
Day 12: Morzine -> Paris
As you bid adieu to your teachers and the welcoming locals of Morzine on the last day of this chapter, get ready to embark on the next leg of your adventure: the magnificent capital of France, Paris.
Days 13 - 14: Paris
Awaken in the enchanting city of Paris, ready to immerse yourself in the local language and culture. From strolling through the halls of the Louvre to witnessing the Eiffel Tower’s nighttime sparkle, Paris is sure to be a whirlwind! Explore the opulent Palace of Versailles before savoring warm croissants from a local bakery. Your final days abroad will showcase how well you’ve incorporated the tips and lessons from your language studies in Morzine. Enjoy traversing the city while conversing like a native Parisian.
Day 15: Departure Day
Before we know it, our French language adventure has come to an end. Head to the airport with incredible memories, new friends, and confidence that will benefit you for life!
TTN Trip Leaders will accompany travelers to the airport and check them in for their flights home.
As you settle into your seat for the journey home, reflect on the things you saw, the people you met, and places you went. We’ll see you on your next adventure! Welcome to the Network!
