Program Overview
Discover the best of Greece & Italy on this one of a kind summer vacation! This European adventure is your gateway to the best of both worlds–this journey beautifully balances iconic historical sites with the allure of sun-kissed beaches and enchanting islands. Delve into the stories of renowned landmarks and immerse yourself in the serenity of picturesque shores.
In Athens, we’ll be whisked away to centuries past as we marvel at ancient monuments such as the Acropolis and visit ancient Greek temples. Then we’ll be off to soak up the sun and the waves on the beautiful island of Santorini.
In Rome, we’ll see more of the ancient world through visits to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and more. Then, we’re off to the beach again as we explore the rugged and beautiful cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, before finishing our trip with a visit to the historic city of Pompeii.
On this trip, you’ll get to see the most iconic monuments and museums while also making the most of your summer vacation through visits to Greek Islands and Italian beaches. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

PROGRAM ITINERARY
Please note that the following itinerary is for Session 1 & 3 only; Session 2 will have an identical itinerary but will start in Rome and end in Athens instead.
Day 1: Arrival Day
Welcome to Athens!
Our Teen Travel Network Trip Leaders will meet you in the Athens airport arrivals terminal wearing their TTN t-shirts.
We will spend this first day settling into our accommodation and building connections with fellow travelers. Before we sleep off our jetlag, we will enjoy a local welcome dinner.
Days 2-4: Athens & Mainland Greece
Immerse yourself in Athens’ unique way of life as we familiarize ourselves with Greek life and venture to iconic sites, including the legendary Acropolis. Delve into the secrets of Greek cuisine during an immersive cooking class guided by a local expert.
A day trip to Lake Vouliagmeni, a thermal oasis renowned for its healing properties, provides a reprive from the hustle and bustle of the city. Submerge yourself in its rejuvenating waters before continuing to the ethereal Temple of Poseidon. Carved from white marble, this ancient marvel becomes the canvas for a mesmerizing sunset over the Mediterranean.
Days 5-6: Santorini, Greece
This morning, we’ll take a ferry to the island of Santorini, welcomed by its iconic whitewashed buildings.
Get ready for two days that weave together adventure and relaxation in this island paradise. Embark on exhilarating hikes, swim in azure blue waters, and snorkel amidst the warm Mediterranean waters.
Traverse the island’s ancient lanes, discovering medieval treasures in villages like Megalochori and Pyrgos. Savor traditional Greek barbecue, surrounded by striking architecture and mesmerizing coastal vistas.
Set sail on a private catamaran, a sun-kissed canvas for unforgettable memories. Bask in the sun and coastal breeze. As day transforms into night, relish the island’s legendary sunsets, a symphony of colors that paint the sky.
Days 7-9: Rome, Italy
Ciao, Italy! Get ready to see all of the Roman sites that you’ve always heard about! Wander through the iconic Colosseum’s storied corridors, marvel at the timeless Pantheon, and toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain to seal your wishes. Let the Spanish Steps paint the backdrop as you soak in the city’s spirit.
Cross international borders within the city as we step into Vatican City, a country all its own. Immerse yourself in the Sistine Chapel’s breathtaking artistry, tracing stories that adorn its walls and ceilings.
Savor the very soul of Italy through authentic pasta, pizza and gelato experiences, each bite a magical melding of flavors.
Days 10-11: Amalfi Coast, Italy
After reveling in Rome’s grandeur, it’s time to trade cityscapes for coastal serenity. Amidst azure Mediterranean waters and cliffside buildings, the Amalfi Coast beckons.
There’s no place like the Amalfi Coast, one of Europe’s most popular escapes. Relish leisurely moments by the beach, where the music of waves creates a soothing melody.
Explore local treasures during moments of souvenir shopping, collecting keepsakes that mirror your journey’s beauty. Embark on the famed Path of the Gods, a scenic hike through charming towns that reward you with breathtaking coastal panoramas.
Day 12: Pompeii, Italy
As our journey circles back to Rome, we pause for a day in Pompeii, where history’s whispers resonate through the ruins. Step into the past in Pompeii, a city forever etched in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Explore the meticulously excavated streets and houses, delving into the stories of its residents and their vanished lives. Next, we’ll complete the final leg of our journey and return to Rome.
Gather for a heartfelt Farewell Dinner, where laughter and memories mingle–a toast to the incredible moments shared as kindred travelers, each memory woven into the fabric of this unforgettable journey.
Day 13: Departure Day
Before we know it, our Greek & Italian adventure has come to an end. Head to the airport with incredible memories, new friends and confidence that will benefit you for life!
TTN Trip Leaders will accompany travelers to the airport and check them in for their flights home.
As you settle into your seat for the journey home, reflect on the things you saw, the people you met and places you went. We’ll see you on your next adventure! Welcome to the Network!
